In the days before printing, story-tellers had to delight listeners with their own words; sometimes by relating actual past events, or by making up fictional tales of princes and paupers. Those who have no children, but just like a good story are welcome too.

THE DARTWING CHALLENGE Story One
Maximo was a racing pigeon, but now he has retired it seems he will never compete in The Dartwing Challenge again. When Gertrude the Team Fixer suggests he can still be in the racing game by training a new team, Max sets off to scout for some likely recruits. The best he finds is a group of Punk Pigeons who don't seem to do much except for pulling some weird, dangerous stunts. Their speed, however, impresses him and he truly believes they will have a good chance in The Dartwing Challenge; provided the Racing Committee will accept their entry request and he can teach them how to overcome some really dirty tricks.
THE DARTWING CHALLENGE Story Two
Maximo's team of punk pigeons has one more heat to qualify for the finals; but Tawoo and the three officials are determined to stop them. Between these cheaters and arch rival Ferrol, it will be a tough ask. The punk team faces combating more than the usual dirty tricks; one of which, however, presents Maximo with an unimaginable opportunity.
TEDDLES AND THE MAGIC CUBES
Cindy is a little girl being taught to perform magic tricks by her Uncle Martin who was once a famous stage magician. One particular trick really does seem magical. Transporting a toy rabbit from a red cube to a green cube without being seen is truly mysterious. Left on her own for a few minutes, Cindy decides that Norman the rabbit might be lonely, so she puts her teddy bear in the red cube with him; and this starts a series of events that result in Teddles being lost in the post.
NOAH'S CART
Started by lightning, a huge bushfire is burning, and it is coming towards Mabel's farm. She has gone off to check on her neighbours, leaving Noah the horse hitched up to a cart with all of Mabel's small animals in it. When she doesn't return, Noah decides they have to leave before the fire arrives; so he trudges off, hoping to find safety. What happens along the way turns a simple carthorse into a legend.
THE BIG DRY
Winter was really wet because too much rain fell; so by the time it came to spring, the clouds didn't have enough water left to do much good. Summer is now beginning and Mother Nature is worried because the land is already bone dry. The younger clouds are blaming each other for the big dry, but offering no solutions; two older clouds, however, believe they can come out of retirement to save the day.
THE UNWELCOME VISITORS
The village of Deerymea was once a quaint and popular place to visit; and travellers had to pass through anyway because there was only one road. Then someone decided to build a new, faster road beyond the outskirts; so the village was left isolated and no more visitors came. The new unwanted road was responsible for something else too; and this was to be both the breaking and re-making of Deerymea.

NEW YEAR NEW LEAF
After the New Year's party, Rupert and his two sisters decide to make resolutions that they can actually keep. Unfortunately, the ones they choose are so at odds with the kind of individuals they are that the entire experiment was destined for failure right from the start.
HAPPY HARRY'S DREAM MACHINE
Happy Harry travels the countryside bringing happiness to anyone who is sad; and he does this with his Dream Machine. It makes sweet dreams that it captures in little glass bottles, and Harry lends these to anyone deserving who needs a good night's sleep. But there are conditions...
